Ambiances journal publishes original contributions written in French or English dealing with the sensorial environment, architecture or the urban space.
Contributions should be scientific articles, reading notes, little-known or poorly circulated fundamental texts - translated into English or French if necessary – or other written, aural or video material with a link to the themes promoted by Ambiances.
Once published, contributions are freely-accessible on the journal’s website. They are presented in separate issues or under various headings as they are published over time.
The journal accepts one-off contributions or proposals for thematic issues. Scientific articles received and accepted by the Editorial Committee are then submitted to a double blind peer-review process by two referees. Once they receive the peer-reviews, the Editorial Committee and Drafting Committee deliberate on the possibilities and conditions for publishing the articles. Other contributions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Editorial Committee and Drafting Committee, depending on their nature.
The scientific articles published in Ambiances should contain between 25,000 and 50,000 characters (including spaces and footnotes) and comply with presentational guidelines. We welcome accompanying illustrations and multimedia documents on condition that the person submitting them has secured the publication rights (images, audio tapes, video clips).
To submit an article to the journal, please consult the ongoing call for contributions.
